Single Use Plastics Are Choking The Oceans
Although straws have been banned, single use plastics (cup lids, wet wipes, bottles etc) are still clogging the seas and waters across the planet. Microplastics have reached almost every part of the planet from the deepest parts of the oceans to the top of Mount Everest. Over 80% of seabirds have ingested the plastic we make.
This nightmare cannot go on. We can’t keep destroying our beloved species and waters. We have to do 2 things:
- Call on businesses and governments to change the system, to STOP creating single use plastics
- Take individual action. Refuse to take single use plastics (bags, cup lids, wrappers), Reuse any plastics you can and Recycle (more and more places are now taking hard to recycle plastics. Check your local supermarkets and check out Terracycle who specialise in recycling hard to recycle products like toothpaste, coffee pods etc – AND they raise money for charity.
How you can help
We’re devoting the next 12 months of our lives to raising the money and awareness we need to stop species going extinct, and to put them back into recovery.
Our project brings together the best projects and thinking from 7 charities and a whole slew of experts from across the planet. Let this be the moment we say “NO MORE EXTINCTION” and start rebuilding their world, for all our benefits.
Please do consider donating and sharing our message to create a global voice of positivity and action. Thank you xx
